San Francisco Show List

I find it weird that in every other city I have lived in there are numerous bloggers who not only share my musical tastes, but who each month, week, etc post lists of all the worthwhile upcoming shows. I know there are a few here that I look at occasionally, but I feel that they are all over-inclusive, in that they include dumb bands in which I have no interest, and often leave off more obscure, or even bands that perhaps seem too obvious. So here is my list. maybe I'll try to keep it current:

pirate prom

so in case you all haven't heard, there is a pirate prom the weekend after next, and we all must go. It seems to me that this will be a combination of the blue ribbon ball that they used to have in athens, and a pirate party, the likes of which i've never attended. neshemah found a great picture of female pirate garb online, but I deleted the email, so I'll post these other less cool images for costume ideas:

On the night of October 22nd at 8:30 pm, Roshambo wants to lure you to our own version of a pirate party – The Inaugural Pirate Prom. The night promises pirates and wenches, patches, peg legs and all the works. Inside the DJ Fort will be Space Cowboys’ Mancub and DJ Brad Robinson.

Wine, beer, fog machines, what else do we need?

It's in healdsburg at a winery tasting room or something. roshambo winery. and it will have their wine. so, we could either drive ourselves, or we could ride in this "party bus" which is $22 but that includes a ticket to the prom, plus wine on the way down in the bus.
